USED POSTAGE STAMP APPEAL 2019
Christmas is the time of the year when we receive a lot of stamps on parcels & card envelopes, so this year St Mary’s will collect these to donate to charity – the RNIB.
There will be a collecting box in church so do please save your stamps and drop them into church at any time. If you have a large number you can order a pre- paid envelope for yourselves by phoning 0345 345 0054 or via the website: rnib.org.uk/stamps
Take a look at our Foodbank Page - updated with details of the Harvest donations 2019.
INDONESIA EARTHQUAKE & TSUNAMI APPEAL
On Sundays 7th & 14th October St Mary’s will be collecting donations for the Shelterbox charity to support the people of Indonesia after the earthquake and tsunami that have caused so much death and destruction – see
www.shelterbox.org and information in church
and give generously if you can.
This harvest we will be collecting for the small charity MSAADA which supports genocide survivors from eastern Rwanda. The dairy cow project provides an in-calf heifer to a Rwandan family, the surplus milk can be sold and the manure fertilises crops. The first female calf is then given to the next family in the scheme hence the investment helps many families. Please click here for a link to their website www.msaada.org to read more.
Collection boxes are available from the back of the Church. Thank you for your generosity.
Churches Together in Kelvedon and Feering support Christian Aid Week; we deliver CA envelopes in every church magazine and these can be returned to various addresses throughout the two villages. Envelopes and collecting boxes are also placed in every church and in other locations in both communities. This collection is always generously supported and in 2018 raised £1368.44. Thank you to everyone who gave so generously.
