Young people are not simply the church of tomorrow but also part of the living church today.
Within this united benefice we are committed to this and provide a much valued ministry to young people.

On Shrove Tuesday St Mary's held a Pancake Party in the church rooms. The children enjoyed decorating, eating their pancakes and playing games.
In 2016, children played a large part in the Christmas Eve Crib Service. The travelling Crib known as the Posada was brought in to church by the children having completed its journey round the village. Camels had been hiding in village shops during Advent and they too were brought to church for that service

Children are very welcome to church and we have bags of toys available for the younger ones and clip boards with activity sheets for the older ones. Please ask one of the sides people (as they give you your hymn book,) if your children would like a bag or clip board.
See the information on the 'New to Church' page.
We appreciate that services are often hard for the children to follow so we have several activities specially for them.
Find out about all the interesting things to look at in our church by following the trail prepared by Sarah Openshaw. There is so much to look at! The children will enjoy looking for the tortoise in our windows!
Download the trail below.
