COLCHESTER AREA FOODBANK (TIPTREE BRANCH)

Tiptree Food Bank works in partnership with Colchester Food Bank and its network of local satellites and is part of the Trussell Trust Network. They support residents of Tiptree and the surrounding villages who find themselves facing a financial crisis and are unable to afford food for their households.

 

Tiptree Food Bank is  open for the collection of food parcels every Thursday from 2 pm to 4 pm at Tiptree United Reformed Church. Deliveries can be arranged to Tiptree and the surrounding villages when necessary. Food donations can be dropped off on Thursdays and also at St Luke’s Church on Saturdays 10.30 am to 12 pm.

We have also been advised that Colchester Foodbank hold an Ecumentical Prayer breakfast on the first Wednesday of the Month from 7.30am to 9am. All are invited.

RNIB USED POSTAGE STAMP APPEAL

We urge you to contine to save your used stampls and they can be dropped off in the RNIB collection box in St Mary's, during opening hours. . If you have a large number you can order a pre- paid envelope for yourselves by phoning 0345 345 0054 or via the website: rnib.org.uk/stamps.

CHRISTIAN AID

Both Churches in Kelvedon and Feering support Christian Aid Week. We deliver Christian Aid envelopes in every church magazine and these can be returned to various addresses throughout the two villages. Envelopes and collecting boxes are also placed in every church and in other locations in both communities.

Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times.
