We are supporting various local sites across Colchester with the COVID-19 vaccination programme and are looking for volunteers to support this.
You will be tasked with different roles in supporting the team such as, queue marshalling, post vaccination area support and offering appropriate signposting to those who would benefit from support.
The pop up sites have a normal operating time of 10am-4pm however, this can vary depending on the location.
We ask that all volunteers;
Friendly and Approachable.

Message from Kelvedon and Feering Coronavirus Support Group regarding transport to Earls Colne for vaccine appointments
It’s come to our attention that some of our residents who have been offered a vaccine appointment may have turned it down on the basis that they cannot get to Earls Colne, and they have been WRONGLY advised that there is no transport available to them. This is not the case, and we are taking people to Earls Colne today and any day that is needed.
BUDDIES: we know that many of you are still in regular contact with the people you have been shopping for throughout 2020. When you speak to them, please let them know we have a team of drivers lined up.
NEIGHBOURS: if you live near someone who you believe falls into one of the priority groups currently being offered the vaccine, please speak to them and let them know volunteer drivers are available.
Please help us share the message that transport should not be a barrier to getting this incredibly important vaccination.
Anyone requiring transport should call 07971 939644 and this will be arranged.

SURGERY:
Repeat Prescriptions – 21 June 2020
Third Party Repeat Requests
We will no longer accept prescription requests from a third party on your behalf i.e. from all community and online pharmacies and from appliance contractors. We would like you, the patient or representative, to order your prescription medicines that you need directly from the surgery. This will help to reduce medication waste, stock piling and improve overall patient safety. This directive came from the CCG and has been rolled out Nationwide.
Order Online
SystmOnline is available to ALL our registered patients. Once registered, you can order your Repeat Prescriptions online via your home PC or mobile device.
Please contact the surgery and ask to register for SystmOnline Access if you don’t have a username and password.
Other ways
•In person at the surgery
•Post – we can return your prescriptions by post if you attach a stamped self-addressed envelope to your prescription request
•Automatic repeats - If you have the same medicines and the same dose each month we can set up an automatic repeat to avoid the need for re-ordering each month. Please call the surgery and ask for an appointment to the pharmacist to see if this can be set up for you.
•By email kfhc.scripts@nhs.net
